Hemant Hora, MD

Vice President, Medical Affairs & Sr. Medical Director

Dr. Hemant Hora is a physician executive with more than 10 years of healthcare management experience and over two decades of clinical experience in internal medicine and hospital medicine. He serves as Vice President Medical Affairs and Senior Medical Director at Point32Health, where he provides enterprise leadership across key clinical strategy and operational priorities.

 

Dr. Hora earned his medical degree from the University College of Medical Sciences at Delhi University and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at New York Medical College. In addition to his executive leadership role, he continues to practice clinically part time as a hospitalist at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge and holds an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School.

 

 

At Point32Health, Dr. Hora oversees clinical strategy, utilization management, and medical policy across the enterprise. He also serves as Medical Director for Quality Management and as lead physician consultant to the Total Cost of Care team, where he supports the analysis, planning, and implementation of value-based care models and other strategic initiatives designed to improve quality, affordability, and outcomes.

 

 

His professional service includes membership on the Massachusetts Vaccine Advisory Council and participation in multiple committees of the Massachusetts Medical Society. He also serves as President of the Norfolk District of the Massachusetts Medical Society, reflecting his ongoing commitment to physician leadership and public health.

 

 

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Hora enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and participating in volunteer service. He also holds a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo.
