Sean Glavin is an Executive Vice President at Lockton, one of the world’s largest privately held insurance brokerage and consulting firms, where he advises employers on employee benefits, workforce strategy, and organizational risk. Throughout his career, Sean has become known for his ability to build trusted relationships, connect leaders, and create communities that foster growth and meaningful impact.

Before entering the corporate world, Sean spent years in education as a teacher, coach, principal, Chief Financial Officer, and assistant superintendent. While his career evolved, his identity as an educator never left. Sean often describes himself as “forever a teacher and coach,” a philosophy that continues to shape his leadership approach today through mentorship, curiosity, accountability, and service to others.

Sean is the founder and leader of several influential executive communities across Greater Boston, including the Boston HR Council, The Ledgers Society, and LEAD, a CEO peer forum focused on leadership and authentic connection. He also hosts leadership-centered conversations through his podcast and serves in nonprofit leadership capacities with Nichols College and the New England Compensation Consortium. He also co-founded C-Suite Fighting Cancer, an executive community platform focused on mobilizing business leaders and professional networks to elevate cancer research, awareness, and philanthropic impact.

Sean brings to the American Cancer Society a collaborative and people-first leadership style rooted in empathy, advocacy, and community-building. His commitment to the mission of the American Cancer Society is deeply personal. He lost his mother to cancer, an experience that continues to shape his passion for advocacy, research, and supporting families impacted by the disease. He is passionate about helping mission-driven organizations create environments where individuals, families, and communities can thrive.
